Product Details
The SCB Air Amplifier is a highly efficient, energy-saving cooling solution designed for industrial applications. Utilizing the Coanda effect, the device entrains large volumes of ambient air to convert a small amount of compressed air into a powerful airflow. With no moving parts, low maintenance requirements, and easy installation, the SCB Air Amplifier provides a reliable solution for cooling, blow-off, and air circulation in modern factories.
Amid rising energy costs and the challenges facing global manufacturing, industries are seeking solutions that reduce compressed air consumption while maintaining production efficiency. The SCB Air Amplifier offers an effective way to achieve high-performance cooling with lower energy consumption.
The following is a solution tailored to a specific customer application:
A Southeast Asian customer manufactures motorcycle exhaust mufflers (14 cm in length, 45 cm in diameter). During production, the mufflers undergo performance testing, after which their surface temperature can exceed 600°C.
▲: Current Situation
Relies on traditional natural cooling methods, taking over 30 minutes.
▲: Customer Requirement
Cool the tested component from 600°C to approximately 80°C within 10 minutes.
▲: Model Selection:
SCB manufactures various cooling devices for different purposes, including cold air guns, vortex tubes, cabinet coolers, and air amplifiers. Cold air guns, vortex tubes, and cabinet coolers generate cooling gas at temperatures below ambient levels, making them suitable for precise, low-temperature cooling of small areas. However, if the customer's industrial components were cooled using gas below ambient temperature, the resulting thermal contraction could damage the parts. The air amplifier, by contrast, covers the entire muffler and amplifies the airflow by approximately 20 times to dissipate heat, ensuring product quality while lowering the temperature.
Based on the factory's existing 8-bar compressed air supply, SCB engineers recommended the SCB-51-SS Air Amplifier.

What is the working principle of the SCB Air Amplifier? The operating principle of industrial air amplifiers is based on the Coanda effect. Compressed air enters the amplifier through a narrow internal annular gap. The high-speed airflow follows a curved surface, creating a low-pressure zone that continuously entrains surrounding ambient air.
Through this air amplification effect:
- A small amount of compressed air generates a much larger output airflow.
- Air amplification ratios can reach approximately 10 to 25 times.
- Cooling and blow-off performance are significantly enhanced.
Air amplifiers require no motors, fans, or moving parts—operating simply by connecting to a compressed air source—making them ideal for industrial environments with strict reliability and safety requirements. 2. Four Key Application Areas for SCB Air Amplifiers
1, Industrial Blow-off and Cleaning
The most common application for air amplifiers is industrial blow-off and cleaning; the amplified airflow improves cleaning efficiency while reducing compressed air consumption.
2,Industrial Component Cooling
Air amplifiers are an ideal choice for cooling high-temperature industrial components. SCB air amplifiers provide a steady, non-contact airflow that helps shorten cooling times and boost production efficiency.
3,Exhaust, Fume Extraction, and Ventilation
The amplified airflow promotes efficient air movement, eliminating the need for traditional electric ventilation equipment.
4, Lightweight Material Conveying
The powerful airflow generated by air amplifiers can also be used to convey lightweight materials; the non-contact airflow prevents mechanical damage to sensitive materials.
5, Adjustable Airflow
For adjustable models, users can control the airflow volume simply by rotating the annular gap adjustment ring.
You are welcome to provide details regarding your specific application scenarios; the more detailed the data, the more precisely we can match the right model to your needs, helping you reduce energy consumption while maintaining production quality.
